Study Shows Cleanliness Matters Most to Restaurant Customers

Technomic, a leading food industry consulting firm, performed a survey in 2011 that showed that many customers consider restaurant cleanliness to be more important than the quality of the food.  According to the survey of customers throughout the U.S., the cleanliness of restaurant premises, as well as the cleanliness of tableware, was consistently ranked as having the highest importance when selecting a place to eat. 

The point to learn from this survey is that people care about their surroundings.  They want to spend time in clean places and they want to avoid dirty places.  Is your building clean?  Do your customers and employees care about cleanliness more than you think?
