Ice melt is great. It keeps your sidewalks and entry ways safe during the winter by melting the ice and preventing countless accidents and injuries. Unfortunately, people get ice melt on their feet, they track it into your facility and it leaves a chalky haze on your floors. This haze is ugly and can be challenging to remove.
The following are 5 steps you can take to remove the ice melt residue from your tile floors:
- Clear the area and vacuum it thoroughly.
- Dry mop the area with a microfiber mop (to clean up any ice melt crystals that remain).
- Damp mop the area with an ice melt remover that is pH neutral.
- Rinse the floor with clean water.
- Repeat if haze remains.
